14/12/2011: Shifting into the 700 tons gear

OXL welcomes the newest lady in the fleet.

MV HR Intonation with her combined lifting capacity of 700 ts and 19.000 cubic meters of space. This is to-date the largest vessel in OXL’s fleet.

We hope to serve our growing client portfolio with this ship and all her features.

OXL recently joined the Carbon Energy Club, the club brings together Belgian-based suppliers with specific know-how in the oil, gas and power generation industry.

01/04/2010: Daenens family takes full control of OXL

The Daenens family, founding partners of OXL in Zeebrugge, have taken full control by buying up the remaining shares from German drybulk operator Oldendorff Carriers.

The Belgium-based parcel and project cargo operator is headed up by Alphonse and son Thomas Daenens, who will continue to manage the company without operational changes. OXL has 3 decades of experience in the ocean transportation of break-bulk, project, heavy and RoRo cargoes.

The founding partners felt it was time to take full control and offered to buy out Oldendorff, which resulted in an agreement to transfer the remaining shares on 1st March 2010. OXL and Oldendorff Carriers are parting on amicable terms, both personally as well as commercially, and have agreed to continue to cooperate in various areas.
